Tom Mabe, Director of Qualitative Services
During high school and college, Tom worked part-time for FHMR, a Kansas City based marketing research firm, assisting with facility management. In 1990, he graduated from Kansas University with a degree in Psychology and was hired full time as Office Manager for FHMR. Over the course of 14 years, this position grew into Systems Manager and included IT and facility management functions. In 2004, FHMR went through reorganization and Tom took advantage of an opportunity to move into a Project Manager position. Tom joined the Q & A Focus Suites team in February 2008, when Q & A acquired FHMR. In August of 2008, Tom was promoted to Facility Director and manages all qualitative, CLT and field projects for the Kansas City office.

Jeanne Chinn, Director of Consumer Science Research
Jeanne has over 20 years in sensory and consumer research from the consumer packaged goods industry. Prior to joining Q & A Research, she spent the majority of her career with The Clorox Company and for the past few years, as an independent consultant. She has vast experience designing and conducting complex study designs, descriptive sensory research and managing lab operations for food and non-food product research. She is a member of the ASTM E-18 committee and holds a B.S. degree in Food Science from U.C. Davis. In her current position, Jeanne is responsible for the Walnut Creek facility, managing both quantitative and qualitative research projects as applied to consumer research and product development business processes.

Ann McMillan, Senior Project Manager
Having joined FHMR in 2001, Ann acquired vast knowledge of marketing research by contributing her efforts to every department within the company. Throughout the majority of her tenure at FHMR, Ann served as Lead Call Center Supervisor, overseeing a call center staff averaging 30 persons. Ann joined Q & A in February 2008 and is now a part of the Project Management Team, assisting in the preparation and coordination of recruitment projects. Additionally, Ann is bilingual and has the valuable skill and ability to communicate in Spanish. Ann has her Associates Degree in Administration of Justice from Johnson County Community College.

Angelica Armenta, Project Manager
With a background in the medical field, Angelica Armenta joined Q & A Research in 2007 as a member of our respondent confirmation team. As a result of her hard work and dedication, Angelica climbed the ranks to become Recruiting Manager and was promoted to Project Manager in 2010. Her experience gives Angelica a tremendous understanding of the intricacies of recruiting operations and methods. This knowledge allows her to manage projects efficiently and provide the recruiting team the proper guidance to locate qualified and articulate participants for every project.

Alejandra Cortes, Project Manager
Having worked in the industry since 2001, Alejandra Cortes brings diverse knowledge of marketing research across many industries to Q & A Focus Suites. Alejandra joined Q & A in July 2009 and is now a part of the Project Management Team, assisting in the preparation and coordination of qualitative research projects. Additionally, Alejandra is bilingual and has the valuable skill and ability to fluently communicate in Spanish. Prior to joining Q & A, Alejandra worked as project manager for a local market research firm. Her responsibilities included client contact, day-to-day project management, tabulations for statistical analysis, coding and focus group moderation for all qualitative projects in the company. Alejandra received her Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from the ITESM/CCM in Mexico City. She received her MBA from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri. Her prior work experience was in advertising, new product design, and marketing/promotional strategies.

Zack Johnson, Project Associate
Zack joined Q & A Research in 2009 after obtaining his BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from University of Central Missouri. In his role at Q & A, Zack assists the Project Managers on the day-to-day tasks of qualitative projects, including project preparation, daily updates, and operations. After proving his capabilities, Zack was given additional responsibilities of managing room rental projects and video conferencing services for the Kansas City office. He is often the connection point for internal clients when conducting projects for our full-service arm.

Penny Davis, Client Services Manager
Penny joined Q & A in early 2008 as a field supervisor in the Kansas City office, managing off-site and on-site interviewers for intercept and CLT projects. Displaying a can-do attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed, it was apparent Penny was ready for more responsibilities. In 2010, she was promoted to Client Services Manager. In this role, she acts as the client liaison for facility and catering needs and makes sure staff and arrangements are in place to insure client comfort and satisfaction. Penny brings 30+ years of customer service and management experience to her duties at Q & A to achieve successful execution of our Kansas City projects.
